Vikas Ni Vat - Book Review

Nowadays I am reading a book entitled Vikas Ne Vato.  I must say it's sensitization for me. Being a professional social worker I read a numerous article related to social work  field and this habits helps me to grow myself. As a part of my culture last 3 weeks , I am reading aGujaratii Book.  I am grateful to author that he gave me such a wonderful book to me as part of gift.

When I read the book I try to imagine author views and understand his perception hence in this i did so. Dr. Nanak Bhatt is an excellent writer as well as a good thinker.  He beautifully articulated his thoughts in the arena of social development,  social issues and last but not least social service.  We, social work educator will definitely get an idea about social service which took place in historical roots. The Author help me to understand my roots and origin of social work in Gujarat.  Let me analyse more on topics the authors had covered and let me take a risk to classify the area of it. Child development,  Socialisation process at home, urbanisation and industrialisation, child labour, farmers issues and challenges so on and so forth.

In all 60 chapters,  the author had conveyed to message to Reader about his and her role in societal development. The Author had beautifully projected the research findings of several authors which portrait a scientific component in his thoughts. Since each chapter doesn't not more than 2 to 3 pages so Reader  will find interesting to read and internalise. Moreover,  author has picked up day to day examples of lives of human being which definitely catch attention to read further

There is a reflection of Saurashtra dialectic hence it gives a bit sense of belongingness as I born and brought to this region. Not a single memories of my childhood I possessed but my parent's words related to this region is still whispering in my ears.

Every book does carry limitation hence this book as well. And one of the limitations I found that there is no English edition of this hence in a limited area the author words and thoughts is prevailing.  Words must be spread in other Indian languages and serious deliberation should be taken up.

Every Youth must read
